Setaro Vermicelli is a traditional long pasta with a satisfying presence that makes it particularly well suited to flavorful sauces. Although vermicelli literally means “little worms” in Italian, the name has been used for centuries for long strands of pasta and represents one of Italy’s historic pasta forms. Setaro produces its Vermicelli at approximately 30 cm long in Torre Annunziata, Campania. The family pasta factory, established in 1939, uses selected 100% Italian wheat, traditional bronze dies, and slow low-temperature drying to create pasta with characteristic porosity and a substantial bite. Pair Vermicelli with tomato sauces, seafood, clams, anchovies, garlic and olive oil, or other Mediterranean preparations. Its long strands are especially satisfying with sauces designed to coat and wrap around the pasta, while the 1 kg format is ideal for sharing.
