Setaro Rigatoni is a substantial ridged tube designed for the kinds of sauces that demand a pasta with real structure. The name comes from rigato, meaning “ridged” in Italian, and the grooves covering each piece help sauce adhere while its broad hollow center captures meat, vegetables, and cheese. Setaro produces Rigatoni among its traditional short formats at its historic pasta factory in Torre Annunziata, Campania. Since 1939, the family has preserved an artisan process using selected 100% Italian wheat, bronze dies, and slow, low-temperature drying. Pair these sturdy tubes with Neapolitan ragù, sausage, tomato and ricotta, mushrooms, eggplant, or other rich sauces. They’re equally excellent baked with tomato, mozzarella, and Parmigiano. The generous 1 kg package makes this an especially useful format for gatherings and family meals.
