Sogno Toscano Pacchettelle are made exclusively from Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP, the protected cherry tomato cultivated in the volcanic soils surrounding Mount Vesuvius in Campania. Harvested at peak ripeness in August, the tomatoes are processed only meters from the fields using traditional artisanal methods: each stem is removed, the fruit is washed, then cut in half “a pacchettelle” and preserved in glass with no added liquids or preservatives. The sole ingredient is Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP, and every stage follows the strict requirements of its Protected Designation of Origin. Naturally sweet, intensely flavored, and produced in limited quantities, these tomatoes need little embellishment. Use for pasta sauces, pizza, seafood, bruschetta, or focaccia, or enjoy simply with extra virgin olive oil and bread.
