San Marzano tomatoes are preferred by chefs (and grandmothers) around the world for their plump flesh, fewer seeds, and sweet flavor. San Marzano DOP Tomatoes are grown in the Agro Sarnese- Nocerino region of Italy, which is an agricultural area between Naples and Salerno. Each can is individually stamped with this designation from the Consortium that certifies these tomatoes are from this region.
