Gentile Vesuvio takes inspiration from Mount Vesuvius, the iconic volcano overlooking Campania, with a curled, sculptural form that makes a striking presentation on the plate. Crafted by Pastificio Gentile in Gragnano, where the company’s roots date to 1876, this Pasta di Gragnano carries the protected IGP designation, connecting it to one of Italy’s most celebrated pasta-making traditions. Gentile shapes its pasta through bronze dies for a textured surface and follows its traditional Metodo Cirillo for gentle drying. Vesuvio’s spiraling folds and cavities are exceptionally effective at trapping sauces and small ingredients, making it delicious with sausage and tomato, pesto, mushrooms, eggplant, peas, roasted vegetables, or creamy cheeses. Each curl delivers plenty of sauce while maintaining a substantial bite, making Vesuvio a memorable expression of both the culinary craftsmanship and landscape of Campania.
