Traditional Sweet Panforte, hand-wrapped
History and tradition
Typical and old Christmas sweet from the city of Siena (Tuscany). Made with dried fruit, candied fruit, honey and flavored with pepper, cinnamon and cloves. A rich cake to be tasted with the typical Tuscan Vin Santo. The “Chiostro di Saronno” is an ancient Franciscan cloister located in the centre of the town of Saronno. This is the home of our Company.
Ingredients
Candied orange peel (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphur dioxide), wheat flour type 0, sugar, almonds 25%, candied lemon peel (lemon peel, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphur dioxide), candied citron (citron, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphur dioxide), honey, epices, wafer (potatoflour, vegetable fats), flavourings.
Ingredients icing sugar: sugar, wheat starch, flavours.
